Halo reach armor display thingy?

Okay so i was playing score attack and i selected it but then i noticed this spartan (it was a picture of a spartan above score attack) that had all the exact same armor perms as me and same colors. so is it just a coincidence that i have the exact same stuff as that picture guy or did bungie make it so whatever i make my guy look like he appears on the screen? plz answer
